3.5"x5.5" Acrylic on board
Just finished this this afternoon. It's actually more "3-D" than it appears on the computer. It loses something here- the greens pop out from a transparent darkness which just looks a bit more flat here and the heron seems to be closer, more "out there" than it shows here. I really had fun painting this one.

i think it looks pretty out there in the photo as well. Nice painting.
Thanks Bonnie. Now for a title- that's the worst part!
Beautiful! I wish I could see the original, but this is still wonderful.
Thanks much Pat. Just finished playing my harp. :-) Think of you and your Webster often when I'm playing!
Wonderful! You are the 2nd miniature artist I've seen who painted a blue heron this week...There must be some common inspiration!
Lovely Carol! I can't make them look right on the computer either but would love to see yours in real life some day!
Hi Carol, oh I am loving your little mini's... all of them! & congrats on winning in that show, terriffic!
Thanks so much Mary. I just dropped this piece off at my gallery last week. :-)
