Finished Harpy Eagle

I've finished the harpy and finally gotten him photographed. These birds are soooo amazing. We were fortunate enough to be able to stand very close to this fellow and really get some close observation. So aloof, so regal, so "of another world". Just awe-inspiring. I'm very happy with my efforts on this fellow. He was a joy to paint once I got those feathers figured out!

Wonderful Carol! And that firey backgound in the sunburst pattern suits him just fine! Will you be entering this into any competitions?

Thanks Deb, Krista, and Carol. I don't know about competitions Deb- we'll see if it goes to that or a show- where ever it may sell is where it will go! ;-)

Karen, so sorry, somehow I missed this post of yours. Yes, the award was such a nice surprise. Thanks for a lovely compliment too- I loved watching this harpy- wish he was closer but he's clear across the country from me. So I was fortunate he decided to grace me with his prescence that day (not hiding in a corner somewhere where I couldn't see him!)
Italo- now you KNOW I wouldn't lie don't you? Ofcourse they're paint! :-)
